Bahama Diving

Overview

Quote:
Probably the best thing to do in the Bahamas is diving. All the reefs are beautiful, with sunken ships and an airplane, some from 007 movies.

Quick Tips:

If you are not certified, this is an enjoyable way and place to do it. We used Bahama Divers, and they go out of their way to make the experience fun and achievable.

Best Way To Get Around:

Taxis and shuttle buses are everywhere, and there is a ferry from Paradise Island to downtown Nassau.

It was all-inclusive. It was not nearly as nice as Atlantis, but it was only a 6- to 10-minute walk to Atlantis to see the aquariums and use the casino.

Holiday needs a facelift. All the employees were extremely friendly. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Atlantis guests said that a sandwich cost them $20 bucks. I would rather eat from an okay buffet.

It was amazing. We could have been certified at home, but reefs are so much more enjoyable than lakes. The dive instructors are friendly and easygoing. You feel like you made a friend during the entire process. They pick you up at your hotel and take you out on their boat to the dive sites. They video tape everyone during a dive and make it available to you to purchase if desired. After certification, they gave us a complimentary T-shirt with their logo.

Atlantis Paradise Island Resort & Casino

Attraction | "Atlantis Casino"

It is extremely nice and better than Crystal Palace 14 years ago. Of course, you get a peek at Atlantis and the yachts in the marina upon entering the casino. Take your camera. There are lots of Kodak moments all around the casino.
