Each Saurday there is a rastro, which stretches along the river which brings travellers from far and wide. After bartering with the stallholders, pop into La Risa for a chilled beer - don't be put off by the modern exterior, as this belies the excellent Spanish tapas and pastries inside. Alternatively, cross the road to Bar Alleluya, a truly Spanish experience. Drive 2km out of Jalon to another tiny village Alcali - here you must stop at Bar Porch, which is fantastic.
