Movies, restaurants, and a shopping mall are right next door. The Daytona Speedway is 10 minutes away, and there is a water/race track park right across street.
Best Things About the Resort:
Beach, pools, activities, friendly staff, coupons for almost all area restaurants and activities; just ask the staff, who are very willing to help. Go to the get-to-know-you breakfast on Monday mornings, as they give away free stuff and big discounts. I got a free ic-cream social coupon.
Resort Experience:
The resort was very clean and modern. Our one-bedroom unit overlooked the parking garage, and we didn't have a balcony. The unit was on the small side, with a very small kitchen area. All this was fine. However, as we had been in Disney the week before, we really would have loved to have a balcony and more space to just relax in. We spent most of our days at the pool. If you enjoy the pool, be sure to get up and get the family down by the pool early, as all the chairs will be gone by 10am. The signs all say to not save the chairs, but everyone dose it. That was our only real complaint.
The resort has Internet access, mini golf, a game room, and daily activities for the whole family. One of my favorites was the adult relay race. I was the only one over 30, and our team won, so we got a free ice social (everyday at 3 pm) and five laps at the race track across the street.
You can buy lunch by the pool every day, prepared by the resident barbeque-grill man.
I highly recommend this resort and will look into going to other Fairfield properties. This one is on the top of our list.
