A hidden gem!

A July 2005 trip to Delray Beach by suerod

An absolutely beautiful small resort

Best Things Nearby:
Delray Beach Village (lots of great restaurants and shopping), Loxahatchee Airboats, Miami (Dolphins baseball), Gumbo Limbo, the ocean, and the beach

Best Things About the Resort:
With only 24 one-bedroom units, it is a beautifully manicured property with a pool and bushes between the neighboring properties. It is only a few steps down a curving path to the very large sandy beach. There are lots of lounging chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas.

Resort Experience:
Our one-bedroom ocean-view unit was on the second floor. The living/dining area had a tropical feel (tile and rattan). There was a TV, fold-out bed-couch, and loveseat. The eating area had a round glass table with four chairs. There was a small closet-type kitchen (only room for one). It had a fridge, small stove, small dishwasher, coffeemaker, can opener, and toaster. The bathroom had a tub/shower unit. The master bedroom had a king-size bed, TV, two nightstands, dresser, and large closet. The air-conditioning worked very well. Outside each unit there were two chairs, two lounge chairs, and a table. The deck was wide and ran the length of the second floor. The pool area had two barbeques and a tented eating area with tables and chairs. There was also a shuffleboard and a small putting green. Towels were changed whenever you wanted; you just put them on your outside table in the morning. There was a coin laundry room on-site. It is the perfect place for couples or families wanting a relaxing beach vacation rather than the daily activities of large resorts.
