If you need to know about this place, you do not need to look any further.

Branson Silver Dollar City is one place that I usually get away to at least once in the summer and once around Thanksgiving. Christmas is awesome. They decorate this place like no other. In summer, with the kid's fest, you can have nonstop fun for a few days.

Quick Tips:

Get the season passes if you think you might come back. It is worth it and will pay for itself.

Best Way To Get Around:

Any route other than hiway 76. They have lot's of back roads and they are mapped. You will not get lost.

Savannah House

It was excellent. AAA gave it two diamonds, but it's better than that. The rooms are great, and there was even a free, little breakfast, scrambled eggs and waffles. It was not continental. I rate this one of the nicer places to stay in Branson. Not on the main strip so you don't have to get in line just to go to bed. Highly recommended.

Music City Inn - La Quinta

This was a good place to stay. I would stay there again. There is an indoor pool and the Haygoods show attached. Yes, it is a La Quinta and keeps with the La Quinta tradition.

Lodge of the Ozarks

This was a very good stay and clean rooms. The hotel has a lot to offer for Branson. However, don't let them talk you into a deal for a show and club. The Vegas Club could be great, but they have bad acts there. I have had better bands in my garage. The Hughes brothers leave something to be desired as well. I had dinner with the show, and it was good. Service was awful. The hotel is good--for anything else, go down the street.

Tara Inn

The Tara Inn

I recommend it. It is laid out like a hotel but comfy and not on the main strip. You can get anywhere from this place easily and you will not have to wait in line like on the Strip. The price was $56 for the nights I stayed. Don't let the price scare you, because I have stayed for twice the price in Branson and the accommodations were no better.

Resort Experience:
This is very, very good. And the facilities are very, very good as well. They are clean and up-to-date. The bathhouses are like home. Call for all the amenities. I can't remember them all.

This is as American as it gets. All-you-can-eat is the word: ribs, barbeque, veggies, and salad. All taste great, kinda like grandma is in the kitchen. They have the mill on top. I do not go there, as it is not nearly as good. I eat here every time I visit.

Burgers and such is what you are in for, but go to the little stand out on the edge. There you will find a giant skillet, and this food is wonderful. You can get a stack of fried potatoes and bowl full of skillet food and fill up. This is one place to eat.

Fall Creek Steak & Catfish House

They throw rolls here, too. The food is good and you will not be disappointed. I have had the chicken fried steak and the real steak. Both are good, and there are great side items. The portions are excellent.

Get ready to eat. Enough said. Order the fried cheese. It is nothing like any other restaurant. The chicken fried steak has a special plate because it is soooo big.

I always eat here twice, if not more. The food is very consistent. The west Ruby's is where a lot of the performers eat, so you never know who you might see. I have not had a bad thing from the menu.

Grand Country Inn Buffet

This place is located in the middle of all the Grand Country stuff. They have a motel, water park, theater, and other stuff. I rate this like a local's casino buffet. It's good, but not great. The food quality is always excellent, but you can tell that they are cooking for the masses. I eat there when I need to get in and out.

Golden Corral

In one sentence, don't go to the Grand Country. I was disappointed, and many of my friends have said the same. They have a stage, and the entertainer needs to stay home. I have heard this other times from other people as well. You might want to skip this one.
