Breakaway in Winnipeg

A February 2005 trip to Winnipeg by coolcdnbabe

This is my favorite hotel. I am never disappointed when I arrive at this hotel, as it is everything I expect in a hotel.

It is in a central location, with a friendly staff; comfortable environment; large, lovely rooms; and proper coffeemaking facilities. This hotel’s motto is to tell them if you’re not satisfied so they can make it up to you.

Quick Tips:

Become a Sheraton Preferred Guest gold card member to take advantage of the point system for upgraded rooms and preferred check-in. It’s free on www.spg.com.

Best Way To Get Around:

Take the public transportation system to the hotel.

This hotel is located right at airport; just walk the ramp to check-in. It is ideal for those awful early-morning flights. Just check-in, head back to the room, and relax: all flights departure/arrivals are on screens in the lobby and TV in the room. It is a superior place, with a restaurant, pool, and bar, along with the Sheraton service you expect.

Place Louis Riel All-Suite HotelBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Place Lous Riel"

This tired-looking hotel has become rundown in recent years. The lobby looks like the rough north end of the city with rough, filthy people hanging around with nothing better to do. The hallways are dark and dingy elevators you take at your own risk, if they work at all. Staff members are unskilled and uncaring. Rooms are basic, bare, and grim, with old, cheap furniture. This used to be a fine hotel, but this place needs a wrecking ball. Do the city of Winnipeg a favour by losing it. This expensive all-suite hotel is too dangerous to stay in due to the people that hang around there.
