July heat and humidity - isn't that what summer is all about? Despite temperatures in the 90's, we had a terrific time in Orlando, with Walt Disney World the only item on our agenda. How can you not have a blast?

We loved the Disney water parks! What a great way to cool off and enjoy time with the family! The parks get crowded very quickly, so either plan to be there upon opening or you may get closed out. There is not a day to sleep-in, unless you plan to visit the park in the afternoon since crowds tend to begin clearing around 2 to 3pm. There is still plenty of time to get into the park, but in the afternoon you will deal with lines that have already formed and wave pools that are packed, and in some cases, things become dangerous at this point!

Quick Tips:

Plan to arrive at the water park at park opening, or risk being closed-out.

Best Way To Get Around:

We had a rental car because we were staying off-site; if you are staying on Disney property, there is bus service.
The timeshare had meticulously kept grounds and was very comfortable. We had a two-bedroom unit. It was decorated well, with an airy look and feel. The units are a Spanish style design, with individual entries from open-air hallways. The buildings have a U-shape design, with gardens in the center. There are elevators, as well as the staircases. We never heard anyone else around us even though the unit was full, as can be seen from the full parking lot at night. There are two buildings that are pet friendly. We made certain to request a non-pet building due to allergies, and this request needed to be placed about 2 weeks before check-in when the office had received all notification paperwork from RCI. The service at check-in was speedy and friendly, and everyone we encountered that worked at the resort was friendly as well. There is a beautiful outdoor pool that is great for kids and adults, with varying degrees of depth. It was never too crowded, although there is no life guard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort and would stay there again. It is just large enough to offer some nice amenities, but not too large to encounter any real crowds since there is so much to do off-site in the nearby area.

Bahama Breeze

Restaurant

This restaurant was elegantly decorated. It was open and airy, and not too loud. We visited this restaurant during a very busy trip to the Disney theme parks. It was nice that the restrooms were outfitted with little extras, such as hair spray and body lotion etc., that allowed you to freshen up after a day in the sun/heat. We hadn't returned to our hotel after the park on this day, hoping to avoid the dinner rush with two children, so it was nice to be able to freshen up once we had arrived here.

The food was awesome! My children enjoyed sampling new things. All of the menu selections sounded so good that it was difficult to make a decision. The food servings were ample and the presentation of the food was beautiful.

Ohana

Restaurant

Ohana is a family style restaurant that specializes in Hawaiian style food. The restaurant is laid out in a large circle with several dining rooms. If you request the main dining room, you can watch the food being prepared over open pits/grills.
There is entertainment for the kids, and plenty of food for the adults. By far it was one of the best meals we had during our stay. We celebrated a birthday while we were here.
Priority seating is recommended. We had about a 10-15 minute wait with the priority seating, when we left the restaurant the wait was over an hour.
Highly recommended, we would go there again.
