Don Pancho Resort

A March 2005 trip to Bargara by Shauna Evans

My husband and I stayed at the Don Pancho Beach Resort in Bargara, Australia, for one week. We had a two-bedroom unit that consisted of one queen bed and two bunk beds. There was also a fold-out couch.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean and simple, friendly staff, spacious.

Resort Experience:
The resort is not fancy and doesn't have any extra perks. It is quiet and small, but clean. There is only one main road in Bargara, but it has a few quaint restaurants. The resort doesn't bring fresh linens every day, but once a week. It is a 4-hour drive north of Brisbane. We rented a car and drove it after a 8-hour flight—not recommended. You can fly into Bundaberg, which is only a 10-minute drive. You do need to rent a car to get around, as the sights are spread out quite a bit. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very relaxing.
