Economical accomodations in Tokyo

A March 2004 trip to Tokyo by acsisedh

We stayed in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo for 7 nights in a Japanese Inn called Kimi Ryokan. It caters to foreign tourists and students and has an English-speaking staff. The facility is very clean, and a room for two runs about 8,000 yen per night.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Tokyo has a massive railway network that is easy to use. The bus network is equally as extensive but requires some knowledge of the Japanese language. Taxis are available everywhere but can be pricy.

Restaurant

This American chain restaurant is a crossover and offers both Western and Japanese foods. This is one of the few places where you can get free refills on coffee.
