Just got back from Cancun, a week after Hurricane Emily visited, and it was wonderful!

Sunset Lagoon and Marina

Best Things Nearby:
Marina

Best Things About the Resort:
Dinner shows, pool, close to marina

Resort Experience:
This is a little more quiet than its sister hotel, the Royal Sunset. The rooms are villas, so you never have to wait for elevators. The one-bedroom had two bathrooms, large showers, and plenty of room. The pool was large enough, and the swim-up bar made it fun. It is all-inclusive, so you don't have to worry about paying every time you eat or want to go on an excursion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Daily maid service is wonderful! You get two resorts (Royal Sunset) for the price of one!

Carlos and Charlie's

This is a very fun place to eat! The entrees are things like tacos, burgers, ribs, and salads. The drinks come in a variety of sizes. The waiters put on shows between serving. A group of people got up to sing, waiters pulled out women diners to dance, and we stood on chairs to do the "Chicken Dance." This is my teenagers' new favorite restaurant. Don't expect a quiet dinner here!
