Watersports, fishing, nature walks

Quick Tips:

Not for the party type. This lake is for the outdoorsy and adventurous types.

Best Way To Get Around:

By car, the main road surrounds the lake although it is hidden by a pine forest. Walking and hiking are the favorite modes of travel.

The condos were in a wooded setting with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Lots of attention was paid to the comfort of the patron here.

A large restaurant with lots of windows overlooking the lake, service was good, food was tasty, prices were reasonable. The Sunday buffet was excellent and there was a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres.

Pack up your boat, pick up some water skis or tubes and have a ball on this vast clear lake. Small sailboats are allowed. Jetskis are a must but stay away from the fisherman out of courtesy.

Going fishing here means a sure catch. Lots of fun, lots of tournaments. Camping may be your favorite kind of accommodation during one of these. There is much camaraderie between competitors. There are many public camping grounds around the lake free of charge.

Take a ski boat and spend some time with family and friends on this beautiful west Texas lake. Although located near Jasper, Texas, the lake is actually a little secluded. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not your destination. However, if you are the outdoorsy type and love the water, I recommend it highly.

Fishing is a major sport here but the lake is large enough to share most kinds of water sports. There are many boat ramps, some free of charge.

There are only a few little stores surrounding the lake so take all that you need with you.
