Kahana Falls is a 40-minute drive from the airport. One thing I do want to tell you before I start my overview is that it does rain every day at Kahana Falls. Kahana Falls is a smaller timeshare, but the daily upkeep has kept the resort at its Gold Crown status. We had a one-bedroom unit with a balcony that overlooked the pool and pond. The pool, which has a waterfall, was large enough for the resort. Many times we had the pool to ourselves. There are two hot tubs at the resort – one by the main pool and the other by the gazebo/coconut checkers area.
The unit was very clean and comfortable for four people. The master bedroom had a queen bed, TV, two nightstands, and sliding door to the balcony. The bathroom was just off of the master bedroom. Bathroom had shower/whirlpool tub combo, a sink and toilet. There was also a storage closet with room safe in the bathroom. The living/dining room had a pull-out couch, large TV, stereo, closet with washer/dryer, glass table, and a sliding door leading out to the balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need to do their own cooking. There was liquid dish soap and dishwasher soap under the sink. We were given complimentary laundry soap when we arrived and at the mid-week cleaning. Towels are replaced every day, but must be put on the floor to get new ones. Beach towels are available at the housekeeping department located in the lower level of the lobby area. The housekeeping department is open from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. The housekeeping department has coolers available to rent by the week for $5.00.
There is an excellent workout facility down by the housekeeping department. Included in the facility is free weights, universals, bikes, treadmills, step boxes, etc. This was one of the best workout facilities I have seen in a timeshare facility. Showers are available by the workout facility for all guests’ use.
These are the estimated weekly charges for Kahana Falls. Hotel unit ($31.48), studio ($56.44), one-bedroom ($78.02), two-bedroom ($109.57). There are no-charge room safes, free local calls, and internet hook-ups for $10/day.
Kahana Falls Guest Services can help you - let them get you the deals. They will give you 10% off of any of the lowest regular rates you can find. We did attend the Aloha Mai Tai Party poolside on Monday afternoon. Available were both "real" mai tais and "virgin" mai tais. Local children put on a hula show. Every day at 11:00 a.m., the resort staff put out fresh pineapple for the guests to enjoy.
