Lake of the Ozarks

A June 2003 trip to Ozark by ascoggi

The Lake of the Ozarks is a beautiful place to spend with family and friends. There is plenty of things to do including: shopping, golfing, boating, and swimming.

One of the best things to do at the lake is to shop at the huge factory outlet mall and along the strip. The strip is located just as you cross the bride into the Osage Beach area.

Quick Tips:

For discount coupons, the best location is the visitor center, where you can also pick up a restaurant guide to find a restaurant that is best suited for your taste. There are a couple of places along the lake to rent boats, so make sure to bring your life jackets. Your best bet for local events is to just ask the locals.

Best Way To Get Around:

For parts of the lake, you can just park your car and walk, but since there really isn't a public transportation system, you will need your own car. There is taxi service at the lake if you don't have a car.

Restaurant

Arrowhead Lodge has a great restaurant with world-class chefs. You can get great food that is moderately priced and have a great overlook of the lake.
