Our condo was very nice. It wasn't luxury, but it was comfortable and felt homey. The master bedroom had a king-size bed, a TV, VCR, nightstand, and two dressers, as well as a large closet. It was nicely decorated, with a piece of artwork that had a crane on it made out of tiles. The carpeting was new and plush, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The condo also has a half-bedroom. It contains bunk beds and a small chest for clothing. This room is definitely recommended for children due to its small nature, but is also a great room to store suitcases and extra belongings in. The bathroom is a nice size, with a sink set in a marble countertop and a shower with fantastic wat...Read More

Manny's Pizza Beachside

Restaurant | "Manny's Pizza"

When we arrived at Manny's Pizza, the place was packed, much like the other restaurants we had tried to get into on that Saturday night. However, Manny's only had a 20-minute wait compared to the 2-hour wait everywhere else in town. While we waited, we played video games and pool. When we were seated, we looked at the large menu, unsure of what to order. Then a pizza was brought out to a neighboring table--homemade crust and sauce, fresh toppings--and I have never seen such a pizza in this country before. That made up our minds immediately, and we ordered pizza and garlic cheese bread. Although we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, it was worth the wait. We had friendly ser...Read More

First, The Garlic does not accept reservations, although it should. The first time we tried to dine there, there was a 2-hour wait. The trick to getting into The Garlic is to go for an early dinner. The Garlic opens at 4pm, so be there around 5:30pm to ensure prompt seating. The Garlic has its own unique appeal, no pun intended. Its sign by the road includes garlic, and the interior is designed as a jungle. There are faux plants throughout the restaurant, as well as tube lighting. Outdoor seating is also available, but we dined indoors due to the heat. Another nice element of The Garlic's atmosphere is its live singing. They have a live performer, Frank Chase, who sings and plays pian...Read More

I had a fantastic experience at the New Smyrna Steakhouse. Due to their high prices, I decided to dine there for lunch, as they have a cheaper lunch menu. The steakhouse has a great atmosphere: there is music playing in the background, the tables and booths are made of dark wood, and although it is a large restaurant, it still has an intimate feel. New Smyrna Steakhouse must pride itself on good service, because it was exceptional. Our waitress was very attentive, and the manager actually came by the table to see how everything was. We started our lunch with potato skins. They were fantastic; they were smothered in cheese and bacon in a nice-sized portion. Next came our...Read More

Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is a great park. It consists of several "islands," different areas with a variety of themes. There is Seuss Landing, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, Comic Marvel Super Hero Island, and Toon Lagoon. We rode on the Incredible Hulk Coaster, which is an unforgettable ride. Next, we rode the dueling dragons. Although there is one entrance to this attraction, you can choose which of the two coasters you would like to ride, because they follow different courses. After that, we got hungry and went in search of food. Currently, the park has a deal offering an all-you-can-eat pass for $19.95. There are three locations in the park that you can dine at, and wit...Read More

Story/Tip

Fun in the Sun Photo, New Smyrna Beach, Florida

New Smyrna Beach is amazing. The sand is white, the water is blue, and the mood is always peaceful. The water is also a great temperature by 10am. This is quite possibly my favorite beach in the country. This is a popular vacation spot for families and couples, as the beach is so amazing. Unlike many vacation-spot beaches, New Smyrna Beach is less crowded and a more relaxing spot. I went to the beach every day of the vacation. In the mornings, I went down to the beach and walked at the edge of the ocean, where the remains of the waves could barely splash my feet. The sunrises at New Smyrna Beach were gorgeous - the sky changed from blue to purple to magenta to pink to yellow ...Read More
