Pretty much everything in Cancun is fantastic. During my trip, I went snorkeling, hit the beach, visited the outdoor malls, shopped at the flea markets, and ate delicious food.

Quick Tips:

Check with the front desk at your resort for information regarding these thigns. Our resort even had an excursion planner on-site to book our snorkeling trip.

Best Way To Get Around:

The public buses are the cheapest and easiest means of travel. Just remember that although almost every store in Cancun accepts U.S. currency, the buses do not, and also don't like giving change.

Restaurant

The Rainforest Cafe is a fun dining experience. It is a combination store and restaurant that is, of course, rainforest-themed. When I entered the restaurant, I could hear jungle sounds all around. The entire inside looks like a jungle, complete with mechanical animals. The animals moved every few minutes, and seemed fairly lifelike. Also, the bar was shaped like a giant mushroom, and it rained at the bar every fifteen minutes, complete with the sounds of thunder. The barstools were adorable, and had the prints and tails of various animals, including giraffes, tigers, and monkeys. The ceiling looked like a starry night, which created a feeling of being outdoors. There was also a fountain on one wall, which makes a great photo opportunity. The restaurant has a great atmosphere for both children and those still young at heart.

The menu also follows a jungle theme. The items have rainforest names, but the food is fairly normal. While the Rainforest Cafe is pricey, you get a nice portion for the cost and a fun environment to dine in.
