Sunterra Powhatan Plantation was very disappointing as a timeshare.

Best Things Nearby:
Williamsburg, Jamestown, and plenty of Outlet Shopping!

Best Things About the Resort:
The grounds are very nice

Resort Experience:
Check-in was late for myself and at least 20 other families attempting to check-in. Units were either not ready or not released at advertised check-in. I witnessed the same situation during check-in during another day during my stay.

While management says renovations are in-progress. The owner of the unit said it had already been renovated. The unit I was in was dated and in need maintenance and TLC when I checked in.

Maintenance was quick to respond to my requests and made satisfactory repairs.

While it is July, my wife and I still occasionally prefer an indoor pool to get away from the crowds and the blazing sun. The indoor pools were completely drained and had been so for quite some period of time (according to an attendant).

Seafood buffet very well stocked. Food was properly cooked, served hot and very tasty.

Service by waitstaff was good.

Large dessert buffet also was very good.

As with most seafood buffets, the price about $30.00 apiece.
