Movie Outings in D.C.

A July 2005 trip to Washington, D.C. by Kate Chopin

Quote: If you're interested in free movies in D.C., there are some wonderful opportunities. Both the Freer and Sackler galleries have movies at night and offer an eclectic mix. The National Building Museum and the Library of Congress also have some great offerings. Check their websites about getting the tickets.

Freer and Sackler Galleries - Free Movies

Attraction | "Free Movies"

Free movies, all advertised on the museums' websites, occur throughout the year. The theater is a great place to see an eclectic mix of older and more recent movies, and, because the theater is right off the mall, it can offer a fun evening activity. One cautionary note - the tickets usually can be picked up an hour before showtime, and for the more popular shows, you may need to show up early. Check out the websites to find out more regarding ticketing and the times of the movies. You can also call 202/357-2700.
