Best Things Nearby:
It was a quiet residential area without any services. Nearest little-corner shop was over 1km away. Nearest restaurant was in La Fontonne which was 1.5km away. Antibes is about 4km away, and in the evenings there just are no taxis, and when the last bus goes at 8:30pm, we had to walk back to the resort after dinner. "Nice" walk along the highway with no streets lights or pedestrian lane.
Best Things About the Resort:
You can not really call it a resort. It was more or less a cheap block of apartments. The official rating, which is in all accommodations in France, was two stars. I don’t think it fulfils RCI standards, not as I have understood them. There was no reception, only one man giving us a key to our room, and he spoke nothing but French. My French is very limited and it was very complicated, if impossible, to communicate. There was no bar, no restaurant, no shop, no kiosk, just absolutely no services, which I found quite strange and very annoying. The self-service laundrette was as much as one not-well-working washing machine in a small cupboard and a broken tumble drier.
Resort Experience:
The room was very simple and ramshackle (paint dropping from ceiling and bathroom tiles broken), though it was quite spacious. There was no air-condition, which made it a living hell when the temperature climbed over 30°C. There was no cleaning, the room was dirty when arrived, and I had to mop and sweep the floors by myself. The sheets were never changed, neither were the towels, and pool towels didn’t exist, nor could they be rented. There was no toilet paper (I started to laugh when I noticed that, until I really needed to go to toilet), nor bin bags.
