One on our most memorable RCI exchanges was in Kissimmee, FL, to the Barefoot'n in the Keys (#4934) resort very near Orlando. The family had a great time. It was a very nice and cozy resort with fun activities around the corner. We will definitely go back there again if we have the chance!

Theme parks, roller coasters, and rides!!!! What more do you expect from Orlando/ Kissimmee??? Soak up the sun, but be careful! You don't want to get toooooo burnt! It's a great way to relax and enjoy the weather that Florida has to offer, and also, if you like rides and shows, the parks are "where the action is!!!"

Quick Tips:

We took a very typical Florida vacation, with visits to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. A suggestion is to buy the attraction tickets beforehand. Get the Orlando discount card so that some restaurants, attractions, admission tickets, car rentals, and other items are at a discounted rate. Try also to book a resort that has a full kitchen, and cook your own meals if at all possible. This will save BIG MONEY in the long run.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is the best way to see the local areas, but in order to really get around town, you'll definitely need a car. Try and find something affordable and dependable; this way, you'll have the capabilities to get around when required.
Best Things Nearby:
Theme parks, little village of Old Town, restaurants, and supermarkets are very close by. There are activities for the young and old.

Best Things About the Resort:
Nice and friendly service, clean and neat accommodations, and a full-size kitchen with most appliances

Resort Experience:
QUOTE: "Kick off your shoes and relax at this casual resort situated in the heart of central Florida's attractions. The resort is less than three miles east of the main entrance to Walt Disney World(R) and less than 10 miles from Universal Studios and SeaWorld. You'll be in the center of all the fun. Neighboring the resort is Old Town, with 75 specialty shops, eight restaurants, 15 amusement rides, and classic car shows year-round. Resort amenities include fully equipped kitchens and partial kitchens, a swimming pool, a children's pool, clubhouse, hot tub/Jacuzzi, and volleyball court."

This is the description given by RCI for this resort, and we would have to agree for the most part. Florida is obviously a place for many travellers, and to find a nice little spot is usually the main factor. You can definitely enjoy the weather and atmosphere when staying at this resort.

For all of you who don't really know what the Medieval Times dinner show is all about, it's a fairly typical Florida vacation event, and by getting the Orlando Vacation discount card, you get some restaurant meals are at a discounted rate. I do believe that Medieval Times has a discounted price for travellers, and it's definitely a fun time for all. The only thing that my wife didn't like about it was that the entire meal was eaten with hands and fingers - NO UTENSILS!!!

I'm totally okay with that, and so is our daughter, but as for Nicole, she's a little fussy about getting totally messy when going out. We have one of these Medieval Times theatres in our hometown, and we have been a couple of times in the past. It's honestly worth about $25 to $35 at most, but you do get a bit of a show and all.

In any case, it's still a night out!
