Wander around CW, visit the museums, and definitely sign up for some of the special programs, like Behind the Scenes Archeology, Stable, or Other Half.

Quick Tips:

There are lots of coupon books for local restaurants and shops. Pick them up outside most restaurants and stores.

Best Way To Get Around:

You definitely need a car here.

Best Things Nearby:
Colonial Williamsburg and lots of outlets

Best Things About the Resort:
Fully equipped two-bedroom units with nice kitchens and a big Jacuzzi

Resort Experience:
The Fords Colony Marriott is a top-rated resort (look at tug2.net, for example). Each building has several condos on each of the 2 to 3 floors. The buildings are surrounded by woods, golf, walking trails, and a lot of upscale houses. It's very pleasant and comfortable. The pool area is pretty grubby, though.
