This tall, narrow office and storage building beside a canal was the home to several people during the Second World War. They lived in cramped quarters, almost having the same experience as people in prison: they could not go out or do what they wished because they had to be so quiet. It is very sad to think that they made it so long, only to be caught and shipped off to a concentration camp in the last year of the war.
In addition to the house itself, there is a very interesting exhibit of the editions of Ann Frank's diary.
