Where stay in Rome

A May 2005 trip to Rome by Ben2005

Lonely Planet’s recommendation was the reason we chose lodging at this B&B, and my wife and I are so thankful we did. The room had nice plasma and cable TV. Modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi. They had the most beautiful B&B of our trip in Italy.

I loved Rome so much. What an experience. It is such a beautiful city. I was there for 10 days and didn't get to see everything I want to see. I can’t wait to go back. I loved the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, Piazza Navana, Vatican Museum, Borghese Museum, and St Paul's Cathedral (I saw the pope there).

The food was great and affordable. The fashion there is amazing, and the people are all dressed fashionable, no jeans or sneakers.

Quick Tips:

One annoying thing was the street peddlers by the Trevi Fountain, as they were harassing me and my family, as well as other people. There were over 20 of them. If you go there, be careful.

Best Way To Get Around:

58 Le Real is located along the famous Via Cavour, within easy walking distance of Trevi Fountain, and the "Spanish Steps" and Colosseum only minutes away.

Best Things Nearby:
Colosseum

Best Things About the Resort:
Jacuzzi bathroom, flat-screen TV

Resort Experience:
Located on the north side of Via Cavour, this hotel is literally two blocks from the Termini subway station. The subway system is a little confusing at first but well worth the effort, since it makes getting around the city relatively painless and very inexpensive. The Colosseum/Forum area is the equivalent of four city blocks away and can be reached quickly by taking the stairway across the street and continuing straight ahead toward the Colosseum, which you'll see very quickly.
