Resort Experience:
It is secluded, the resort is clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. The restaurant is okay, but Ginger's, right outside (walking distance), is great! You definitely need a car or a driver. We got a driver in San Jose, and he stayed with us the whole time. We didn't have to drive, and he pointed things out that we would not have noticed. The rooms are great, with a view, hammock, and barbeque grill, and they are clean. Rooms are cleaned daily.
We did the canopy near San Jose, which was great for the whole family. We went to Arenal (volcano and hot springs) twice because it is so worth it. We took a river trip, went to a surfers’ beach for lessons, and saw a waterfall hidden away.
Everything is so affordable and people are so nice that I'd go again.
