Quick Break in Coolangatta

A June 2005 trip to Coolangatta by simonbrown13

We spent a week down in Coolangatta for a quick break from home and our normal lives.

Although you can tell that the Beachcomber has been around for a while, the quality is still very high. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, which, in all honesty, was better than my own apartment. There was a full kitchen that had all the necessary equipment, although we didn’t take any dish-washing liquid. It wasn’t too much of a problem, though, as the resort is in a perfect location in Coolangatta. We were on level six, which was great, as we could see over the Calypso Plaza and see the ocean. Of course, you can only request through the resort for a room, so we must have gotten lucky. The living area was pretty roomy, even when the sofa-bed was out.

The weather was pretty ordinary when we were there, but it was still nice to get away. We played some pool and table tennis in the downstairs games room. We didn’t use the rooftop pool, as it was too cold. I would definitely go back again.
