Flagstaff at Easter 2005

A March 2005 trip to Flagstaff by CCShamrockDad

We visited Flagstaff, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon at Easter. There was mild weather, great sights to see, decent food, and a relaxing time with the family. We took day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

Best Things Nearby:
Golf courses are close by, and there are day trips to the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, and skiing (in season). The resort was available to coordinate trips for TS users.

Best Things About the Resort:
The activity center had plenty of things to do for adults and/or families - movie nights on the big-screen TV, ice-cream night, and bingo were our favorites. They had an Easter egg hunt for the younger kids. They also had an outdoor pool, basketball net, putt-putt golf, game systems, and Internet access (wireless access for laptop users).

Resort Experience:
This is a very nice resort southeast of downtown Flagstaff. Restaurants and grocery stores were typically within 5 to 10 minutes. Our unit was in the Tanglewood section across from the activity center. It was a two-bedroom/two-bath unit that had a full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, TV’s in the bedrooms and living room (two DVD players and one VCR), a Jacuzzi on the back patio, and a gas fireplace. There was plenty of room for a family to relax after a day on the go. We received prompt maintenance service when requested. We enjoyed the location, as we did multiple day trips and half-day trips, which allowed for occasional lunch/dinner in the unit when necessary.

Had the Thursday evening prime rib special - which also included salad, baked potato, or fries. The restaurant faces the golf course and is a relaxing environment either for a family or a simple romantic dinner. It also has a bar with multiple TVs.
