Bloomington, Indiana, is a college town nestled in the old-fashioned sensibility and hippy liberalism of a small town. I am a Hoosier and went to college there, so the town has many memories for me, but I believe it has a lot to offer the casual visitor. Southern Indiana in general is lovely and worth seeing. The terrain is hilly and the people so friendly, they could indeed be deemed "corny". Basketball and racing fans should all consider a trip to the great Hoosier state. Ripley County, Indiana (home to the Milan Indians the impetus for the movie HOOSIERS), is lovely and bucolic and also offers fun festivals, local riverboat gambling, and the best pork tenderloin sandwiches in the world.Quick Ti...Read More
