This resort, the Mountain Club, was converted from an old mansion on the mountain slopes that separate two big lakes called Bhimtal and Sattal, in the small town of Kumaon Himalaya in northern India. The serene beauty of the place is enchanting due to its location away from crowd and hot planes. The resort let us escape our family routines and the busy schedules of city life.
Quick Tips:
School summer holiday is the best time to visit this place. April, May, and June are the months of summer in India, and one must visit Bhimtal during this period. Resort staff is very friendly. We stayed in a one-bedroom with living area, dining room, kitchenette, and a big bathroom with bathtub.
The temperatures were around 19 degrees C, with moderate humidity and light breezes. Sunrise and sunset were pleasant. More than this, our children, a 10-year-old and a 2-year-old, enjoyed their stay to the maximum.
Best Way To Get Around:
Bhimtal is very well-connected by road from Delhi (310km, approximately) and will take 7 to 8 hours' pleasant drive from Delhi. The place is also connected by the nearest railway station, Khatgodam, from Delhi in the foothills of Himalaya in Uttaranchal State. The Mountain Club resort, Bhimtal, India, Ph: 091.5942247002
