Las Vegas Wedding

A June 2005 trip to Las Vegas by katja69

Nowhere else could we afford a wedding on our budget. The Garden of Love allowed modifications to the prepackaged plan, making our ceremony perfect for us. We stayed at the Stratosphere, putting us close to the strip cheaply. I got to try Speed at the Sahara. A must for any coaster enthusiast.

The room was huge. The on-site restaurants were great. The pool is a little too cold for anyone other than polar bears. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and obtaining tickets to shop. The ride up the tower is a must.

It is like getting a show for free. The wait staff performs songs from the '50s in between serving huge platters of food. It's great for simple lunch.

Attraction | "The Imperial Car Museum"

It is awesome to see all of these unusual and old cars. The best part is that it's free if you look for the coupon in the local travel guides in your hotel room. It is a bit difficult to locate.

Attraction | "Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay"

The tour is self-guided, with wands that talk about each exhibit. The information is really informative. The touch pool allows you to touch several babies of the animals you see in the main exhibits. The jellyfish and the golden crocodile are a little unexpected. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a good aquarium in the middle of the dessert.

SPEED - The RideBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Speed Roller Coaster"

The coaster goes from a complete standstill to 70mph very quickly. It is a very quick ride but well worth the price. The coaster goes through the track forwards and backwards, so you get perspective from both the front seat and back seat if you choose one end of the train or the other.
