Key Biscayne is reached via Rickenbacker Causeway over Biscayne Bay. You will be thrilled by the beauty of the view of the City of Miami, the downtown area in the distance and the blue waters with the sailboats, jet skies, or just people fishing from their boats. It takes approximately 4 miles to reach the town of Key Biscayne and you will be passing by a road bordered with palm trees and pines asking you to leave all your problems behind. Before you arrive to "The Key" as it is refered by the Miamians, you will go by the fishing flotilla and restaurant on your right, there you can rent a yacht for a day or half a day, take your lunch and enjoy the ocean, Crandon Park with its picnic areas and almost 3 miles of beautiful public beach. Miami's Seaquarion is located here. Also, you will find the former Lipton's Tennis Center, now Ericsson Tennis Open grounds and the elegant Key Biscayne Golf Club.

Quick Tips:

Bring your swimming suit, tennis racket, golf clubs, fishing gear (or you can rent them) depending on your preference. There is plenty to do in this place. During the summer and on weekends it gets crowded, so go early or wait for a weekday but there are plenty of hotels with private beaches and big pools or condominiums if you want to stay for a couple of days or a couple of weeks.

Best Way To Get Around:

To get there you will need a car, no public transportation available. Once you get to the beach or the center of town, walking, bicycling, jogging etc. is very common in this paradise. Of course there are plenty of taxis around or by the hotels entrances.

Miami at Night
This nice southseas decorated restaurant is located in a priviledged area, facing the city of Miami in the distance and is particularly charming at night when all the city lights up. It features a Sunday brunch and also has a children's menu. A family restaurant with gracious service. The grilled salmon or any other fish is spectacular.

This elegant, excellent restaurant is high class with a charming, old country decoration. Food prepared to perfection, in particular the Angus beef, seafood and the mediterranean chicken. We try any of them each time we go there. Lounge and a very complete wine list. Service is superb. Very sophisticated atmosphere.
