A February 2005 trip
to Oahu by desertgoddess
Quote: My stay in Oahu was only 4 days long, but I was able to see many of the cultural musuems and spend time on their beautiful white-sand beaches.
If you're into museums, must-sees are Iolani Palace, which was the official residence of the last monarch of the Island Queen Liliuokalani, Queen Emma’s Summer Palace, and the Bishop Museum, which is the state museum of natural and cultural history. It represents all Hawaiian and Pacific Island cultures. Bargain hunters will like the Swap Meet at the Aloha Stadium, held on Wednesdays and Fridays.
