Also, when going about, oftentimes I was glad I carried a backpack and not a purse and that the men carried their wallets in their front pockets. Too often I saw people looking for the chance to grab and run. This was not just those who lived in New Orleans, but others as well.
The people are like a new big box of crayons. They are colorful and a mix of all the varieties you may or may not expect, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
