Because Falmouth is a fairly big town, the best way to get around is by car, but it is also possible to get around by bike. There are numerous scenic drives, bike paths, and many parking options.

This bike path that starts right near the Martha's Vineyard Ferry and is one of the most beautiful bike paths I have ever been on. It appeals to all levels of riders, even children with training wheels. The path starts out in the woods and winds slowly until it comes out right by the water. The path goes right along the water for a little while. It has various views of the scenery, all of which are beautiful. During the summer, there are many people who travel this path since it is the main one in the area, but in the fall, there are less people, and you benefit from the fall foliage in the woods.

Old Silver Beach could easily be considered one of the most popular beaches in Falmouth. It is a little bit out of the way of the main tourist area, and therefore brings in more residents than visitors, but tourists are always welcome. The sand could easily be considered the softest in the area. When the tide changes, there is a huge sand bar that is wonderful for children to play on, build drip sand castles, and jump the small ankle-deep waves.
