If you are looking for a dependable Thai meal in Bellevue, consider the King & I. I dined here the other night and had good dinner of fresh spring rolls and red vegetable curry with brown rice. You can alter your level of spice by ordering one star (not spicy) to four stars (ultra spicy). I ordered one star, and the curry had a small bite to it, but I think I would have been happier with two stars. Apparently four stars is "Thai spicy," and only those who are not of the faint of heart should try it.

The fresh spring rolls were crisp and tasty, though the peanut sauce was too thick and fairly generic. Two people could easily share them. The vegetable curry was a generous portion - I was able to bring home an entire portion home as leftovers. It is important to note that they charge extra for rice ($1 for steamed white and $1.50 for brown).

I went on a Sunday night around 6pm, and almost every table was full. As a solo traveler, I was seated at the worst table in the restaurant, right by the door. I am sure I could have moved if I had asked, but I didn't bother. Patrons included a mix of families, couples, and a fewer older patrons.
