This quite large performance space is not only used for theatrical performances; it houses the local opera company, St. Paul's chamber orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, and something caled the Schubert Club. But when I went to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts it was to catch a local production of a musical, Sondheim's Into the Woods.
The performance space seems quite roomy, and in fact has 1900 well-proportioned seats. This is a nice change from New York, where they pack you in tight for twice the price.
