Bungalow 1
The beach bure was beautiful, very comfortable, with air-conditioning, and very nicely decorated. There are open-air windows covered in netting with wooden shutters that you can close at night. There's a nice in-room fridge with drinks and snacks (although highly expensive). Landscaping is gorgeous.

Best Things About the Resort:
Catamaran snorkeling cruise, the pool (which was great) tried to make up for the poor water conditions.

Resort Experience:
When we arived at Sonaisali, we were very excited. The grounds are lush and tropical, beautifully landscaped. The people/staff go out of their way to say hello and are very friendly. However, our trip quickly turned into disappointment. We were unaware that this particular island was built on a lava mound, making the surrounding water a dark, muddy brown, very much unlike the other islands, where the water is clear and clean. We traveled in March, and this is apparently the rainy season. It downpoured most of the time we were there, and when it wasn't raining, the water was too rough, and so most of the water activities or opportunity to see the outter islands were cancelled. This left us stuck on an island with no other resort amenities (except the pool). We spent 4 days in our room watching very limited TV (a lot of Sponge Bob cartoons) and staring out to the beach, wishing we could go out and do something.

For the amount of money spent, I wish we had stayed on a different island. I would not recommend Sonaisali, as there are other outer islands that are much more beautiful and are more along the lines of how Fiji should be experienced.

Attraction

Sandbar
This is the only cruise available at this resort. The staff was very friendly. The snorkeling was AMAZING. We were able to see the other islands, and they all looked so beautiful. The food was good. We were chased away from a snorkeling spot we were looking at by other Fiji natives in a boat who had claimed that spot for their own visitors. The dive/snorkeling instructor was very conscious of the coral and explained the dos and don'ts of swimming around them. This was definitely the best part of the trip, though a bit long, and I would have enjoyed more stops along the way.
