This is a very nice place. It's about 45 minutes (depending on traffic) from Tampa airport. Right on the beach, it's a quiet town but has lots of amenities.

Sandalwood Beach Resort

Hotel

Great! We stayed in a six-bed, six-bath condo with full kitchen and courtyard with open-sky pool. One door is to the pool, and the other door is to the beach. All nearby are tennis courts, parks, and great fishing from famous Redington long pier, golf courses, and charter boats nearby. They're only 45 minutes from Tampa Intl. Airport and 25 minutes from St. Pete/Clearwater Airport. They're two hours from Disney World, one hour from Busch Gardens, and minutes from Johns Pass. Bus service was available from our door.
