Resort Experience:
The Grandview lives up to its name. The accommodations are first-rate.
Each unit is complete with a large kitchen that is completely equipped; a large dining/living area with a large TV and DVD player and sleeper sofa; a bedroom with a king-size bed, TV, DVD armoire; and a Jacuzzi room that opens through an open arch (very romantic) with a closet. There is a separate bathroom with double sinks and enclosed shower.
A beautiful view of the mountains and lights of the city can be seen from the rooms.
The unit is set up in a circle-type arrangement, so you can enter the bedroom from the living room, then go into the bathroom. You can then enter the kitchen into the dining/living area or go the other way.
This is unit A. Unit B is a mirror image of this unit. There is a privacy entranceway, with the units connecting from there. If you are using both units, the doors can be kept open with privacy from the hallway.
The pool area is gorgeous, with two pools and two whirlpools with a waterfall connecting the two areas. There is an arcade game room next to this area. They have an Internet room in the lobby building separate from the towers.
I would recommend a car, but they run a shuttle to the strip from 10am to 2pm every day. From there, you can get a monorail to the rest of the strip or downtown. The airport is 3 away miles and very convenient. Going to the beginning of the Strip is 6 miles away.
Construction is going on in the next tower (two are complete, with a total of 10, and each is 12 stories), but the noise is very low, even at the pool area.
Right next store, a new casino is being built. It should open by the end of 2005. This will make it REALLY convenient to party. It is to have a movie theatre and equestrian center.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
A shuttle runs to the end of the Strip, where a monorail can be taken to other casinos on the Strip or the downtown area. It runs until 2am.
We would recommend a car for more independence, to explore other casinos off the Strip, and to tour Hoover Dam, 1 hour away, or the Grand Canyon, 12 hours round-trip. Tours are run to both, but we would rather spend our money at the casinos!
We will definitely be going back to the Grandview!
