This is a city where you can party all day long no matter what!

In the afternoon
If you go to New Orleans, you must:

- go to Bourbon Street at night
- eat all the seafood you can
- go to Bourbon Street in the afternoon
- listen to some jazz
- go dancing
- try a hurricane in Pat O'Briens

Quick Tips:

Mardi Gras is THE time to go.

Best Way To Get Around:

If you stay in the French Quarter (where all the fun is), walking is fine. The taxis and buses are also okay.

The pool

Maison Dupuy

This is just a great hotel located where the action is - the French Quarter. The architecture of the hotel is typical of the French colony, but don't get fooled by it. Inside, you will discover a great hotel with modern services and great people.

The rooms are very nice, spacey with a great bathroom. The bar/restaurant/breakfast room has a view to the pool, so you can enjoy your Bloody Mary right next to the marvelous inside pool.

It is located just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street, so you are close to the fun, but at the same time, in a quiet spot.

Bottom Line: If you can afford it, this is the place to stay!

This is a monday night at Pat's!

Pat O’Briens - Caught in a Hurricane

This is a typical place where you can find businessmen coming for a drink after a hard convention day sitting next to a guy in his 20's on holidays with friends.

Basically, it has two sectors, an open one in the back and a "bar" at the front. In the open-air area, you can have the famous Hurricane while you look at the fire-water fountain and then buy a souvenir in the gift shop. In the bar, you can just sit and listen to a live performer in a quieter space. It is a really nice place you must visit.

A dance club like many others

Bourbon Street

Bourbon Street is the place where the fun is at night: people are walking everywhere and there are lots of pubs to have something to drink and many dance clubs for hearing good music and shaking the booty!

On every corner you have a pub where you can listen to a live performance while drinking something. Many pubs become a dance club later in the evening. No admittance fee is charged in most of the places.
