The Big Bend refers to the curve in the Rio Grande in western Texas. It is a beautiful place with vast spaces and fantastic modern art.

Loft #1
The lofts are modern and comfortable, with their own kitchens for you to fix your own meals and eat them outside in the beautiful courtyard garden. The furniture is fashionable and comfortable, and there always seem to be interesting, friendly people staying at the Lofts (and the nearby Holland Hotel).

Story/Tip

The minimalist artist Donald Judd (with help from the Dia Foundation) went to Marfa, Texas, and purchased Fort Russell in the 1970s to house a permanent section of site-specific modern art. Other artists are featured there as well, including Dan Flavin, Claes Oldenberg, and others.
