Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort is an all-inclusive.

The lobby had beautiful plant and decoration.
We booked this trip through Expedia, and, as usual, we didn't run into one problem. When they say all-inclusive, they mean it, as not one penny (or peso) was owed on departure. It was a beautiful resort, with a friendly staff and beautiful location.

Quick Tips:

As soon as you check in, get your vacation package, but skip the tour unless you have time to kill and enjoy high-pressure timeshare sales. Lots of coupons and info is available here. Next, get some pesos and use them for tipping. Gratuities are included, but once you tip a staff member, they never forget you.

Best Way To Get Around:

Free trips to the hotel zone are available from the lobby. They are 4-hour excursions that start at noon.

We stayed with Best Day Travel since they supplied our trip to and from the resort through Expedia. They gave us good, friendly service at a reasonable price.

Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort

Beautiful grounds, very nice room featuring a balcony with a two-person Jacuzzi overlooking it, and 85% of the rooms are ocean view. We stayed in the the Nizuc side of the resort, but the Sunrise looked nice as well. There were four swim-up bars and a great selection of name-brand liquor, but you can't find a Corona in the place--it's all Dos Equis (XX).

Palapa Barracuda

It was actually on the sunrise side of the resort, but this was the best food we had during our stay. I had a 3-inch-thick filet mignon and grilled shrimp, a Caesar salad, creamed corn soup, and then the waiter brought us a nice Kahlua and cream to top off a wonderful meal. It was a great evening.
