Dining in Inverness, Scotland

Overview

Quote:
While Rough Guide fans for years raved about the restaurant Herbivore, located at 38 Eastgate, the place has been closed more than a year now. In its place comes Zanzibar, which offers some of the best dining in all Scotland. Think of excellent local fresh products presented with California style at an extraordinarily reasonable price (7.95 for a two-course meal from the pre-theatre menu: 5pm-7pm). Or come later for exotic meats from around the globe at higher, but still reasonable, rates. Laid-back, Scotland-does-colonial-Africa furnishings are curiously effective at creating a comfortable dining experience. For more info: www.zanzibar-restaurant.co.uk.
