This was a very nice hotel! The room was like my own little apartment. Separate bedroom with TV, living room with TV, and a little kitchenette with table and chairs. Very comfortable room.

The hotel was a high rise with all floors open to the courtyard below. It was a little noisy during happy hour but not too bad. There were lush plants and a very tropical atmosphere with an indoor pond. There were bridges over the pond leading to different sitting areas.

Continental breakfast in the morning was in this area too. There was a nice selection of breakfast food too--just about anything you could want: muffin, yogurt, fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs and bacon, etc.

Indoor pool and hot tub were very nice too.

Room needed updating. Noise from the planes could be heard all night. The view was of the room. It was very convenient to the airport though, so if you needed to stay the night before a flight, this is ideal.

The Marriott Solana is a very nice hotel. The decor is very modern with lots of stucco and warm colors. It has all interior corridors. They are very long with soft carpeting making it a very quiet.

Parking is underground with elevators to the lobby. There is a different set of elevators to go to the guest rooms.
In the lobby there is a modern looking bar that is nice for cocktails. There are comfortable sofas or you could sit at the bar or tables. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. When I had trouble with my key, they walked all the way back to the room to assist me.

I stayed in a very nice room with an extremely comfortable bed, it had a very soft mattress! The pillows were very comforatable too! The furnishings were very nice, a dark hard wood. The TV was in an armoire with doors to open when you wanted to watch it. I didn’t like the location of the desk in the room; you couldn't work at the desk and watch the TV at the same time because the desk was next to the armoire and the door was in the way. There was a nice, big, easy chair that was good for relaxing, though. The bathroom was very fancy, but there was not much counter space. I found a live lizard in the bathtub.

The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice to have, but not spectacular. They had the stucco with warm color sceme going on too.

Several restaurants, including a pizza place and Italian restaurant, are within walking distance. There is a small shopping center with specialty shops also within walking distance. They are actually located in front of the hotel, but the whole complex blends together perfectly.

Attraction

This all-indoor mall is huge, typical of one of the "Mills" malls. Food court is in the center. Several large anchor stores - JC Penney, Marshalls. Typical smaller name-brand stores - Liz, Hilfiger, etc. You can find a good sale. Rainforest Cafe makes a nice break for dinner or lunch. It took us several hours, but we walked the entire length. There's at least one store there that would capture anyone's interest!
