A February 2005 trip to Napa Valley by delcielo

We took a 2-day trip to Napa. We had great food and great company.

The hotel suites were dark and a little worn but overall very comfortable and accommodating. The grounds were pretty well-kept, and the free breakfast buffet was very nice. I'd stay there again if I had to.

Restaurant

We had a lovely dinner for four during this trip. This restaurant is extremely popular, so reservations are required--and even with the reservations, we ended up waiting over an hour for a table. At the time we went, the restaurant was very tiny and crowded, so there was no room to wait. In February, outside is not really an option because its too cold. Each of our meals were excellent, but nothing out of this world. I'd probably try another restaurant if in Napa again.

This Center/museum space is wonderful for the first-time visitor to Napa. A definite must-see if you are in any way a wine enthusiast. I am not, but I loved the food. Wonderful gardens and knowlegeable tour guides. I'd go back to COPIA just see what new is going on. I hear they have a farmers market and show movies sometimes--that must be really nice for those who live there.
