September in Sidhari

A September 2004 trip to Corfu by toxic_dollar

It is full of activities to keep you moving or excellent beaches and bars to keep you relaxed. It is definitely somewhere I would want to visit again.

The scuba diving was definitely the best part of the trip. Also driving around on a moped, finding little coves to sit back and watch the sea.

Quick Tips:

Vlasseros Travel was an excellent place to plan all of our holiday activities.

Best Way To Get Around:

Definitely driving around on a moped! Although you could walk to most places around the town, it was much more fun on the moped!
The apartment was excellent value, really big - there were two rooms with a double bed in each, a bathroom, and also a kitchen with all necessary facilities to make lunches to enjoy on the terrace. The apartment was very clean and serviced during the week. There was a terrace to enojoy lunches in the sun or candlelight drinks and late-night chats. Showers were located outside the apartment building to wash off sand before entering the apartment. Very light, airy, and spacious.

Attraction

Excellent beaches - some parts had a few cigarette butts, but overall, the beach was pretty clean. A safe location - we didn't need to worry about leaving items on the beach while we went swimming in the sea. The part of the sea we went in was pretty shallow - we swam out about 400m, and the water was still only up to our shoulders! The water was very clean - believe it or not, I've never swum in the sea before, but I really enjoyed the beaches in Sidhari.
