Best Things Nearby:Wonderful resorts, spa, golfing and sport fishing. Gastronomical 4-star restaurants. Fun or relaxation? What do you prefer?Best Things About the Resort:Service by the resort, architecture of the hotel, and flavor of the design. Outstanding.Resort Experience:To drive into the resort, it does not look like anything special... that is, until you get right up to the lobby of the Westin. When you arrive, it takes your breath away--so surreal, unbelievably beautiful, and breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice. Even though we have traveled to many places in the world, we have come to love this part of the world the best. Some of the best resor...Read More

Capo San Giovanni

Restaurant

Quote:
CAPO SAN GIOVANNI, open 5-11pm Tuesday-Sunday

Capo San Giovanni is located downtown on a one-way street, across from the backside of Cabo Wabo, which is a hot spot for young ones. This is the best Southern Italian and Mexican cuisine. Excellent food with both indoor and outdoor seating!! Closed on Mondays. John Franco and Antoinette are the owners--true Italians who visited Cabo, fell in love with the area, moved there, and opened this restaurant. John Franco has won awards. Recommended: dinner and dessert, if you can manage. Delicious food and a good wine list and full bar. We will end up here two or three times, depending on how long we stay in Cabo. We will miss them this year!

Playa Santa Maria

Attraction | "Santa Maria Beach"

Quote:
SANTA MARIA BEACH is a marine preserve beach full of friendly tropical fish. Mornings are prime, when the water is clear and accessible off the highway (approximately 12km out of Cabo). This beach is an area where one of the local charter tours comes to take tourist for snorkeling and scuba diving excursions, or you can drive there for free. It is a public beach, with no facilities available other than a dirt parking lot, and it is located adjacent to Twin Dolphins.

Bring plenty of bread to feed the fish. With patience, they will swim up and take the bread right out of your hands. Talk about a feeding frenzy when they find you.

THE OFFICE is located on the beach Playa el Medano, on the harbor in Cabo. It specializes in lobster, shrimp, chicken, and steaks and also has a full bar. There are tables on the sand overlooking the bay and arch. BEWARE: THIS IS NOT LIKE THE OFFICE YOU LEFT BEHIND. There is lots of ACTION. You will need reservation. Certain days out of the week there is entertainment and you will not find a seat. Be ready for a shot of tequila!!

EDITH’S CAFE, 14-30801, Playe el Medano and Paseo del Pescador

Many people think that Edith's is one of the best places to eat in Cabo, especially for lobster. Edith's is a lovely, festive, open dining restaurant with a wonderful view of the bay, the Sea of Cortes, and the famous El Arco in the distance. Atmosphere is laid-back and loud, with jazz, Salsa, and Calypso music. Seafood and mesquite grill. Open daily 5pm-12am. They're always busy, so you need to call for reservations; they come in by the busloads. Located one block from Peacock’s. Up the beach from The Office. Recommended: Dinner.

GLASS FACTORY is a taxi ride away. If you are driving, it is not hard to find. At the first light coming into city from San Jose, take a right towards Todo Santos (same corner as where the Bull Ring is located). Take the first left turn (onto a dirt road), and your second right will put you in the vicinity of the factory and you will see signs. It is in a residential area but is not too hard to find. They will custom-order glassware for you as well. If you are going to have them custom ordered, you will want to go right away.

GEORGIO’S: This is a restaurant, but everyone goes to watch the sunset over Cabo. You must go one night for the spectacular view and to see the incredible terraced bathing pools integrated with the open-air restaurant. This comes highly recommended! Get there early, at least a half-hour before sunset; it could be crowded with people. Stunning sunsets, view of Cabo city lights, and an excellent panoramic view of Land’s End (El Arco). The design of this restaurant, with its multilevel seating areas, water pools, and Mariachi band, is incredible--don’t be surprised if you see a wedding taking place during your visit to Georgio's. It’s truly a beautiful and charming atmosphere; it will take your breath aw...Read More
