Visiting Scott in Virginia Beach

An April 2005 trip to Virginia Beach by JCamp9000

Quote: We went to Virginia Beach to visit our son Scott, who is based on the USS Eisenhower. We stayed at beautiful Barclay Towers in a great two-room suite overlooking the beach, boardwalk, and ocean. The free parking and friendly staff added to the already perfect setting.

Best Things Nearby:Beach, boardwalk, nightlife, great places to eat and people-watch. Great little shops all over too.Best Things About the Resort:Very clean and spacious, fully appointed with everything you might need.Resort Experience:You enter into the bedroom, with a king-size bed and large closet with a safe. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but it’s fabulous inside. The food (steaks and seafood) is amazing. We were a party of nine and they don't take reservations, but we called ahead and they had a table ready for us. The manager sent over complimentary shrimp cocktails for everyone when he found out that seven of our party were sailors. The drinks are as good as the food, and the service was perfect (thanks, Dustin). Check it out! You won't be disappointed - and sit in a red high-backed chair for extra comfort.
