Sapphire Beach is one of the livelier beaches we visited during our week. Sapphire is also one of the busiest. The beach sits in front of a large resort and condo complex. There is live music, dancing, and a luncheon on Wednesdays, so this makes for larger crowds. Like many of the beaches on St. Thomas, Sapphire is lined with trees and bushes, so shade is readily available. Snorkeling at Sapphire is fairly decent, with several varieties of fish but nothing out of the ordinary. This beach is a good place to visit if you're looking for a livelier atmosphere than the rest of the leisurely beaches on the island.
