This was one of my most enjoyable trips. Kauai, especially Pahio at Bali Hai Resort, is the greatest!

Week in Paradise

Overview

Friendliness of the staff. Eugene at the concierge arranged to have a couples massage confirmed in our unit the next morning of our arrival. This was great after traveling 15 hours! Checking in at the airport was great for us - once we got our car, we were free to enjoy the island as we traveled up to the north end of the island, which is where our timeshare was located.

Quick Tips:

We received MANY coupons, which we put to good use!

Best Way To Get Around:

A car is a MUST!

Best Things Nearby:
Beaches surround the entire island and mountains on the other side! MUCH shopping and coffee shops! GO TO FOODLAND INSTEAD OF SAFEWAY - PRICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD IS MUCH BETTER! BEACHES, BEACHES, AND MORE BEACHES! They all have their own personality!

Best Things About the Resort:
The staff was fantastic! Eugene and KiKi were wonderful! We played BINGO - that was so much fun! I learned how to make leis - that was relaxing, and I cannot forget about the sand-bottom Jacuzzi!

Resort Experience:
There was construction going on next to us - we appreciated the fact that they did not do their work until after 8am, and they had closed off this area to ensure privacy.

Our meal was $35 per person, excluding the blue Hawaii drink, and we got a slice of chocolate decadence to carry back with us. The restaurant's waiter and staff were very nice and knowledgable of the menu. The environment was very relaxed and romantic. We have decided to make this restaurant a tradition for the last night before we leave the island on future trips. Our travel is 15 hours, so we do want our last light to be quite so busy.

Mid-week, we took the map, packed some fresh fruit and a bottle of wine, and traveled to the beaches. None were crowded, and it was easy to find one with few people on it. We sat and enjoyed the beauty of nature - that was serene to us since we live very busy lives.
