A March 2005 trip
to New York by Alaina698
Quote: I expected the traffic to get to Manhattan, a hotel room smaller than my college dorm, the hot dog venders, the overabundance of taxis and buisiness people, but what I didn't expect was how much I would LOVE IT!

The cabinet had a door on the side that held the safe, the luggage stand, and the iron/ironing board. I honestly do not know how one would iron in that room. I can't see how they could get the ironing board out and where they would put it. The bathroom was standard. The toilet was really loud when it flushed! It was like an airplane toilet- it sucked the water down! I never got used to the noise. The thing I liked about the room was the view. We could watch the taxis and other traffic go by and marvel at how differently people drive in the city compared to where we're from. I got up early in the morning to check out the continental breakfast. It was all right. They had bagels, cereal, doughnuts, oatmeal, milk, juice, coffee, and tea. I got a bagel and made myself some hot tea. The hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly enough to hold our bags after we checked out so we could see the city at no extra charge. Our room was $148, by the way. It was one of the cheapest I could find, and it's in a great location!
