This Christmas I spent the holiday with my family in the small seaside village of Cromer, England. It's a great little town with some wonderful sights and sounds.

The highlight of the town are the spectacular views of the North Sea, especially from the hilltop at the edge of town that features a working 18th-century lighthouse. Also the town's cathedral, which was built in medieval times, back when the town was called Shipden.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

You can take a train from London via Norwich on Anglia Railways. Or it's about a 2.5-hour drive from Gatwick Airport, traffic depending. (It's not a bad drive, really.) You can walk around the great majority of the town, but hiring a car is a great idea so you can easily travel to some of the nearby sights and destinations.
